March 9th, 2008 by onehautemama

After nearly ten years of serving up dinner, I’m wondering if we should take a closer look at presentation of food when trying to entice our children?

After trying a new recipe book with hidden vegies in treats,  ( by Jessica Seinfeld) I wondered if I could go one better… And I tested a pattern I have come to recognise in my children.

Test Food 1- Yesterdays abandoned toast/cookie/apple, complete with a bit of floor ...

Muuuuuuuuum, how come we fart?  Why does peoples need to eat?

Hehehe, it’s cute if not a little annoying.  It’s also a sign of cognitive growth for my ...

Yay for the Holidays!

December 29th, 2007 by onehautemama

Oh I just LOVE this time of year.

No more pick ups, drop offs, interupting Thomas’s day time naps- or mine hehehe!  Everyone can sleep in, and life ambles along at nice pace.

We had a glorious Christmas.  We looked at all the gorgeous lights, we  sang carols in the car.  We opened gifts and I cooked way too much.

I’ve already made a new years resolution and that is- more down time.  I’m cutting back the whole wahm biz to ‘hobby’ status.  ...
